About Gráinne O’Kane

“I’m Gráinne O’Kane – a modern yoga teacher who loves to inspire people to make this ancient exercise a part of their daily lives. My classes are mostly flowing Hatha style, which is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis. Guided by grá (the Irish word for love, as well as my name), my intention is to help my students listen to their bodies, and give gentle, loving, kindness to every bone, muscle, and ligament. Because when you practice with me, you are literally doing Yoga with Love.

Bringing yoga into our daily lives benefits our entire being. It tunes us into our amazing, magical, miraculous body, which was born to move and stretch. It teaches us to breathe properly, find balance, and improve flexibility. However, in my personal experience, one of the greatest benefits of yoga is that of the mind. Yoga helps to calm our overactive brain and give it a much needed rest. While practicing yoga, our thoughts take a back seat and fade into the background. As we focus on mindful movement and breathing, we connect to the present moment. And that is when we connect with our soul.

Ultimately, my hope is that my students experience the same joy and healing through yoga that this practice brings me.” – Gráinne O’Kane
