More about the talk:
Community Historian, Brendan Matthews, takes a closer look at the career of the Drogheda native, and 20th century giant, artist, Nano Reid, through the written word of art critics and (social media) journalists in the local and national press of her day.
This fascinating research material and reflection offers an intriguing insight into both Ireland of that time; and the life and her career of Nano Reid, one of the most important Irish artists of the last century; her career spanning 65 years, from her first award in 1914 to her last recorded interview in 1979.
