Traditional Music Recital
Join talented concertina player Sárán Mulligan for a lunchtime performance this Sunday as he performs some of his most recent compositions with some classic traditional music pieces from the region.
Sárán Mulligan is a concertina player from Dundalk, County Louth, recognised for his expressive and dynamic performances. He began playing at age 9, studying under Micheál Ó Raghallaigh from County Meath. Sárán has achieved notable success in Irish traditional music competitions, including winning the Senior All-Ireland title on concertina in 2018.
Known for his intricate chordal arrangements and rhythmic style, Sárán collaborates with musicians such as Muirine Nic Róibín (clarinet) and Caoimhe Ní Mhaolagáin (dance). His work highlights both the preservation and evolution of Irish music, contributing to Louth’s musical heritage and engaging audiences with his skill.
