Join us for a special book launch by Drogheda-born writer J.P.R. Lyons where John retraces William Wilde’s 1847 original tour along the Boyne and Blackwater, following the rivers’ from source to sea, with John using a bicycle rather than a jaunting car.
He shares his discovery of what has been learned since Wilde’s time, and what has remained the same. In it he covers some of the major monuments and sites of the region – Newgrange, Tara and Trim, and covers many lesser known but still extraordinary sites, and the fascinating people who lived or came there and the stories that often surround them.
With 514 pages and over 200 illustrations, this book can be bought (on arrival) for a discounted prices for €25 paperback and €40 for a hardcover copy.
