TRAce explores our relationship and impact on place. It is concerned with our personal and social connection to our environment and how sites become imprinted over time.
The exhibition is part of the Curatorial Research Project and is the third collaboration of its type for Highlanes Gallery. For this iteration, we have invited back a group of teachers from second-level and Initial teacher education settings to curate an exhibition reflected on the work within the Collection.
The curators have connected disparate ideas, engaged in critical dialogue, and generated multiple perspectives and readings of diverse artwork within the Collection. Through this process they discovered commonality and made connections resulting in the final selections.
Along with the works chosen from the collection the group also selected works by contemporary Irish artists Conor Horgan, Sean O’Rourke, and Shelagh Honan.
Open Tuesday – Saturday 10.30am – 5.00pm | Summer Sunday Opening Until 27 August, 10.30am-3.30pm
