This exhibition brings together artworks from the Drogheda Municipal Art Collection and the Collection of Limerick City Gallery of Art, with invited artists Bridget Fahy and Deirdre Frost. As curators, Eileen Brennan, Kieran Gallagher, Bairbre Geraghty, Veronica Lavin, Roisin O’Sullivan, Ciaran Power, followed a distinct path; exploring influence, environment, material, memory, or iconography, and shared threads emerged.

Some connections between the works are clear: visual echoes, recurring subjects, or shared artistic influences. Others are more subtle; gestures that repeat across time, emotional tones that resonate, or materials that seem to carry memory. In some cases, influence is direct and intentional; in others, it is unconscious or entirely imagined by the viewer.

Questions arise: How do artists absorb what came before them? Do materials hold memory? Can viewers create new meaning by drawing unexpected lines?

Themes of process and influence recur; from spiritual iconography to personal landscapes, from the weight of history to moments of everyday encounter. Pattern, repetition, and reinterpretation connect past and present. This is not a single narrative, but a layered one; one in which artist, artwork, and audience are interwoven. Whether deliberate or accidental, known or felt, there is a thread between us; across time, through making, and in looking.
