2022 Poetry Day Ireland will see Drogheda Creative Writers return to the Highlanes Gallery on Thursday, 28 April from 2:30 – 4:00 with a benefit performance for the Irish Red Cross.
Booking is free, however, there is a €5 admission charge to be collected by the Drogheda Creative Writers at the door in aid of the Irish Red Cross Ukrainian Appeal.

The theme will be Poetry Ireland’s WRITTEN IN THE STAAAR BAAAS (Well…we have put a bit of a Drogheda twist to it!) DCW Chairperson, Marian Clark will start us off with a most deliciously sweet – and very silly – piece to illustrate the good times that we have in our group!
Other readers on the day will include Roger & Sheila Hudson, Brian Quinn, Emer Davis, Marian Clarke, Dawn & Larry Staudt, Des Parkinson, Marguerita Sampson, Marie Lyons, Maria Sheehan, & Marie MacSweeney.
Do the stars determine our destiny? Or are they indifferent observers as we attempt to navigate our place in the cosmos by the ancient light? Can the turn of a tarot card decide whether we become The Magician or The Fool? Or is it simply the case that “Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be.”?
