Chameleon of My Mind: Encounters with Nano Reid – Leeanne Quinn


Join poet, Leeanne Quinn for this zoom talk which will focus on her engagement with Reid and will explore the different versions of Reid that she has encountered in recollections, remembrances and representations of her.

Leeanne Quinn’s debut collection of poetry, Before You, was published by Dedalus Press in 2012 and highly commended in the Forward Prize for Poetry 2013. Her second collection, Some Lives, was published in 2020 and noted as a Book of the Year by The Irish Times and The Irish Independent. Her poems have been widely anthologised, appearing in The Forward Book of Poetry 2013, Windharp: Poems of Ireland Since 1916, Hold Open the Door: A Commemorative Anthology from The Ireland Chair of Poetry, and Queering The Green: Post-2000 Queer Irish Poetry. In 2021 she received an Arts Council Literature Bursary Award to fund the writing of her third collection, a biography-in-verse of Drogheda-born artist Nano Reid. Originally from Drogheda, Co. Louth, she now lives in Munich, Germany.

• As further protection, each unique link will be accompanied with a password only for those intending to participate, and sent to the email used to book through Eventbrite

• ZOOM’s ‘Waiting Room’ feature has been enabled, allowing the host to check and admit attendees to the session. Please make sure your ZOOM username/profile name matches that which was used to book through Eventbrite

• Use of Social Media Accounts to sign into the ZOOM meeting have been disabled to protect privacy of attendees

• File Sharing has been disabled

• ZOOM’s Chat Save function will be disabled
