The Twelve Pins

‘The Twelve Pins’, painted in watercolour, displays the translucency of the medium. Possibly painted in situ on a trip to Connemara, Cooke-Collis’ interpretation of the foreground rocks and distant peaks is more focused on pattern-making than on being a realistic rendition of the scene before her easel.
