St. James’s, Piccadilly

‘St.James’s, Piccadilly’ is painted in a realistic manner, in the Slade style of landscape painting of this period. There are resonances of the English painter John Nash (1893-1977) in the dry brush technique, the even light, the writhing shapes of the trees and the close tones of ochres and siennas.
