‘Oil Painting a la mode d’Andre Lhote’, is a tribute to the french cubist artists who influenced Swanzy, in particular Edward Delaunay. Mary Swanzy’s colours are more vibrant, however, with the building forms discernible behind the trees and plants in the foreground.
