Open 10:30–5:00, Tuesday – Saturday
Artist and facilitator Claire Halpin presents a hands-on painting workshop exploring colour-mixing, painting techniques and composition, shape, pattern and texture to develop the idea of creating a sense of place!
Whether that is a favourite place from your summer holidays, that imaginary place in your dreams, that place from long ago that you remember or that place you would love to visit when you grow up!
If you’re working with younger children and/or wish to take part please view the video in advance to help prepare yourself and note the following materials to have prepared;
Paper Paint (Water-based)
Paint Brush (es)
Plastic Knife/Cutlery
Cotton Buds
Card (Cereal Box, etc)
If you’re working with younger children, please. view the video in advance to help prepare yourself.
It is shorter than a real time workshop which would normally be 1 hour 30 minutes, but you can stop and start the video at stages so that children can take part slowly and reflectively with the session.
Exhibit your Work!
Parents/ guardians, email us an images of the children’s completed work, together with their name, age, and artwork title to info@highlanes.ie and we will have them up to view on our Facebook and Instagram alongside the work of other attendees! (Again, if you are seeing this after March 29th, we are still happy to accept your artworks and we will add them to the evolving Facebook Album)
Teenage and adult artwork responding to the session also welcome too. https://youtu.be/ag2rQzuJSIU
