Having recently undergone a shift in our own understanding of time and duration due to the pandemic, how we feel and experience time in different ways has resonated with so many of us. Brian Fay’s practice uses different representational strategies of drawing to record, depict and present models of time and temporality using pre-existing artefacts, objects and artworks to stand in for our own experience of time.
On the occasion of his exhibition which presents an overview of Brian’s drawing practice from the last two decades, we have invited a number of creatives – writer Niamh Campbell, poet Patrick Dillon, musician & composer Claire Fitch, artist Isadora Epstein, philosopher Dr. Alison Fernandes , artist and paper conservator Niamh McGuinne, and art historian Tim Stott, each of whose work has a resonance with the themes and concerns of the exhibition to participate in a live event within the exhibition.
Join us for an afternoon of a series of contributions, each which is self-contained, with an independence and purpose of its own, but which engages directly/or tangentially to the exhibition and its themes.
