Shaping Identity: Summer Teenagers Workshop
1:30pm to 3:00pm
For teenagers aged 13-18 years.
Join artist Maureen Finn for a special teenagers workshop, exploring what shapes you and your identity, whether that be a favourite object, a word, or even a symbol.
You can learn techniques such as coiling, rolling, and pinching to develop your own story cup/container/vessel, and finally decorate using coloured slips.
Works will be taken away, dried, fired, glazed, and parents/guardians will be notified for collection back at Highlanes Gallery after two weeks.
About Teenagers Workshops at Highlanes Gallery
Workshops are for children aged 13 – 18 yrs and charged at €8 per attendee.
Workshops at the gallery are process-based and explore basic concepts and ideas with children as they are looking. The emphasis is placed on understanding the ideas surrounding the objects. Making objects forms part of that process but is not the only goal of the workshop.
