Join artist Caoimhe O’Dwyer for a fun-filled, multimedia art workshop created especially for curious toddlers and their parents.
This parent and toddler art workshop is inspired by artist Sarah Dwyer’s exhibition Penti Menti. At the heart of her practice, painting becomes a process of layering and erasing, of burying and excavating, mirroring how memory and time shape both body and landscape. Together we will explore her process of art making using a vibrant palette of colours and art materials.
After a gentle family-friendly tour of the exhibition, Caoimhe will guide participants to create their own multimedia paintings. Parents and toddlers will explore these ideas together through colour, texture and mark-making, creating and discovering side by side in a relaxed and supportive space.
Working side-by-side deepens the connection between parent and child, creating a calm, creative space where imagination can thrive and even the smallest hands can discover the joy of making in the welcoming setting of Highlanes Gallery.

Do not worry if you are running late or have to leave early – we can facilitate to your needs.
Toilets are closeby with baby changing facilities at Lower Ground Level and our café, Five Good Things is at ground floor level. Buggy and other baby moving equipment stored safely in the gallery.
Note: On the day if you find that you cannot attend and fulfill your place, please do email us on info@highlanes.ie to release your place as there is always a waiting list.
