Parent & Toddler: Bea Orpen – Paint & Purpose

Tuesday, March 24, 2026

After a short, family-friendly tour of the exhibition, Caoimhe will guide participants in creating their own landscapes using pastels techniques. With simple, tactile methods, families will experiment with shapes and textures making individual artworks inspired by Bea Orpen and works on exhibition by contemporary artists in the collection including Stephen Doyle. In many of these works landscape is not a passive backdrop but an active force, shaping consciousness, culture, and belonging.

This gentle, hands-on session is a lovely first step into the world of art for little ones, encouraging curiosity, imagination, and shared creativity between parent and child in the welcoming setting of the Highlanes Gallery.
