Naughty Dog – A Children’s Mid-term Workshop

(For Children Aged 5-13 Years)

Thursday 19th February 11.30am-1pm

This workshop title is also the title of one of Sarah’s wall sculptures. But how does she make her drawings, paintings and sculptures?

Join her in this child centred session where children will focus on observing and recreating the figure without looking at the paper at all. A novel approach to the idea that Sarah uses which is loosely based around life drawing, using concertina-folded A4 sheets and working across the folds, looking at human pose and using watercolours and pastels building up layers across the drawings – the large expanses of paper in a playful relaxing and intimate manner.

In addition, children will also use found imagery from National Geographic Magazines to explore the idea of expanded drawings into concertina paintings.
