Nano Reid: ADAMANTINE – Catalogue Launch – Talks, A Reading and A Walking Tour

Saturday, November 20, 2021

Join the catalogue’s contributors for an engaging morning with new writing & research on the life, work, and legacy of Nano Reid.

Saturday, 20 November 2021
11am to 3pm

The word ‘adamantine’ suggests something bold, unswerving, powerfully itself. These attributes apply not just to Nano Reid’s work, but also to the way she lived her life. Born in 1900, she forged her way determinedly through an artistic landscape dominated by men to become one of the most exciting and original artists of her generation with a rich, brooding, evocative style completely her own. This year, to mark the fortieth anniversary of her death, Highlanes Gallery is proud to present a major exhibition celebrating her life, work, and legacy.

To mark the launch of the catalogue, join the contributors for a morning of talks, a reading, and a walking tour, for enlightenment, reflection & discussion.
