Ceiliúradh, Treasures of the Boyne Valley is a community-curated exhibition that celebrates the diversity and richness of the region. This is reflected through a selection of works from the Drogheda Municipal Art Collection and three invited contemporary artists. With the river as a constant, themes explored in the exhibition include a sense of place, continuity and change, and treasures past and present.

In this year of celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the Highlanes Gallery, works ranging from Ricciardelli’s painting of 18th century Drogheda to the Covid-adapted Laurence Street by James Sherlock will be on display. Interwoven with the pieces from the Collection will be paintings by invited artists – Richard Moore, Anne Mullen and Joanne Cartwright.

Curated by Highlanes Gallery’s Community Curatorial Panel – Robin Barnes, Bairbre English, John English, Eithne Hamill, Martin Kieran, Kay McQuaile, Oisín Ó Maoláin, Máire Uí Mhaoláin.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served.

The opening event is free, and all are welcome.
