A series of collective compositions featuring piano, violin & viola in response to field recordings of Dún Laoghaire.
Presented for our current exhibition CITY is A Sound Map Of Dún Laoghaire. This is an ongoing project by artists Anthony Kelly and David Stalling, featuring an online archive of field recordings, lost sounds, and sound histories. The Dún Laoghaire Rathdown area of Dublin has an incredibly rich and diverse sonic environment, which is continuously changing, throughout the seasons, through time, and with its inhabitants. Projects emanating from this include Folding, a live performance and recording project with Anthony Kelly, Izumi Kimura & Cora Venus Lunny and in response to the field recordings.
