Family Workshop – exploring collage
Explore your creativity in an informal gallery-based session for all of the family, where you will look and discuss the exhibition, Dysphoric Euphoria, by artists Stephen Doyle & Peter Bradley.
Inspired by the practice of Peter Bradley has made four new ‘portrait/identity’ collages using mixed materials and perspex and paint, which will form the focus of the workshop, where you can consider a portrait of yourself or another family member or someone you admire.
Old magazines, photos, folded paper, and mixed media/found materials will be used for this and feel free to bring materials or items you wish to recycle/ use for your work.
You can also bring your own printed portrait photos to work with.
Children will be actively engaged with their senses and express themselves creatively.
The session is charged at €6 per family group (Parent(s) + 3 children).
All materials are supplied, and we advise arriving 5 minutes before the official start time of 11:30am, so parents and children can enjoy the full 90 minute workshop.
Please note, this is not a drop-off workshop, and designed for all the family.
