Eight young people engaged in an iterative curatorial programme curate from Drogheda Municipal Art Collection and invite four contemporary artists in this thematic exhibition. The young people live in Drogheda and across the North East of Ireland, and include some emerging Visual Artists, creatives and others in this innovative project.
The curatorial project involves visiting exhibitions at Highlanes Gallery and in other museums and galleries both virtually and in person, meeting artists Sharon Kelly, Kat Lalor, Nóilín Shaw and Vivienne Byrne to exhibition along with the selected artists from the Collection.
The group have also explored contemporary curatorial practice, conceived collectively and plan for the exhibition, written exhibition press text, extended labels, and conceived and plan for the associated public programme.
