Elliott was born in Grangegeeth, County Meath and was self-taught, working in oil, watercolour and gouache, specialising in landscape, floral and character studies. She exhibited regularly in the Carnige Library in Fair Street, Drogheda during the 1950's participating in group shows at the time. She lived at Rathbran, Lobinstown, County Meath where she died in 1984 and is buried at Grangegeeth.
